Comerica To Donate $100,000 in Support of Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Efforts

DALLAS, Aug. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Dallas-based Comerica Incorporated (NYSE: CMA) has announced it will donate $100,000 to the American Red Cross to assist with disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

"Supporting our colleagues and the communities we serve is our number one priority," said Ralph W. Babb, Jr., Comerica's chairman and chief executive officer. "We recognize how natural disasters the scale of Hurricane Harvey can devastate communities. And, we want to help Texans affected by the destruction with immediate resources, as well as assistance during the restoration period."

Comerica has more than 450 employees in the Houston area and nearly 50 banking centers, as well as other offices. The company is keeping in close contact with its teams and monitoring their safety and well-being. In the meantime, all Comerica banking centers and offices are currently closed in the Houston area.

"We understand the challenges our customers may be facing during this difficult time and we're committed to serving them. We encourage our customers to reach out to us to discuss their banking needs," said Babb.

Customers can call the Comerica Contact Center or send an email through online banking until it is safe for the banking centers to reopen. To further support the Houston area and its customers, Comerica is currently waiving ATM fees for its customers who might need to use other ATMs and for noncustomers who use Comerica ATMs in the affected areas.

"Our thoughts are with all of those affected by Hurricane Harvey. We will continue to monitor the situation daily and provide support to rebuild," said Babb.
