DETROIT/June 16, 2004 - Comerica Bank will host a tax awareness planning seminar for small business owners on Wednesday, June 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Walsh College Novi Campus. A pre-workshop continental breakfast will begin at 8 a.m.
The seminar is part of a comprehensive series of workshops sponsored by Comerica that are designed to help small business owners succeed.
Dennis LaPorte, managing director at Follmer Rudzewicz Advisors, Inc., and the firm's advisor on estate and gift taxation, will help small business owners learn about financial controls and how to analyze them, transition planning and the implications of the recent tax law changes for small businesses. He'll also explain the choices business owners have in structuring their company -- such as corporations, limited liability corporations, etc.
Cost for the workshop is $50 for Comerica customers and $75 for non-Comerica clients and $25 for each additional participant from the same company.
