Small Businesses Get Help with Business Succession Planning at Comerica Seminar

DETROIT/April 21, 2005 -Small business owners will learn how to protect their business for future generations when Comerica Bank hosts a small business workshop on business succession planning on Thursday, April 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Walsh College Novi Campus, located at 41500 Gardenbrook Road in Novi, Mich. A pre-workshop continental breakfast will begin at 8 a.m.

The seminar is part of a comprehensive series of workshops sponsored by Comerica that are designed to help small business owners succeed.

Mark Landau, partner of Maroko and Landau, P.C., which specializes in estate and succession planning, and Jeffery Levine, vice president and managing director of the Advanced Planning Group of Comerica Insurance Services, will share tips on how to minimize estate and other taxes; suggest strategies for funding a buy/sell agreement; and provide advice on protecting key employees and ensuring a smooth transition of your business.
