Comerica to Host Fraud Prevention Seminar for Small Businesses

DETROIT/April 1, 2004 - Comerica Bank will host a small business workshop "Fraud Prevention: Protect Your Business - Protect Yourself," on Wednesday, April 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Walsh College Troy Campus. A pre-workshop continental breakfast will begin at 8 a.m.

The Fraud Prevention workshop is part of a comprehensive series of workshops sponsored by Comerica that are designed to help small business owners succeed.

Representatives from Comerica’s Fraud Prevention department will discuss identity theft and other common fraud schemes; internal weaknesses and conditions that lead to internal theft; how to protect accounts from forged or counterfeit checks; and what to do when fraud has occurred on a business’ account.

Cost for the workshop is $50 for Comerica customers and $75 for non-Comerica customers and $25 for each additional participant from the same company. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 1-800-829-5214 or by visiting and clicking on "2004 Managing Your Business Seminar Series."
