Comerica's Technology and Life Sciences Division Sponsors Forum

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 24, 2002 - The Technology and Life Sciences Division of Comerica (NYSE: CMA), a leading financial services company, is pleased to announce it will be a gold sponsor at the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE) Institute’s first CEO conference. The event, which will bring together members from the organization’s seven regional offices, is scheduled for April 25-26 in Mountain View, Calif.

"Comerica has always been quite progressive when it comes to hiring and promoting women into executive positions, so it is very appropriate that we would have a prominent role at this event," said Susan Gill, recently named president of the bank’s Technology and Life Sciences Division.

The conference will feature two tracks of interactive workshops focused on issues related to managing successful high-growth companies and on personal leadership development. Speakers will include experts from the venture capital, banking, executive recruiting, legal and accounting areas; Kathy Conte, senior vice president who heads Comerica’s West Coast Life Sciences Practice, will present "Financing in Tough Times."

"Our goal in organizing this conference is to bring together FWE’s outstanding community of women executives, entrepreneurs and investors to create strategic connections and peer-to-peer learning opportunities that will facilitate their success," said Denise Brosseau of FWE.

For more information about the conference, visit www.fwe.org or contact Brousseau at denise@fwe.org.
