DETROIT, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Comerica Incorporated (NYSE: CMA) today announced that the Comerica Charitable Foundation will contribute an additional $50,000 to the American Red Cross to support hurricane relief efforts. Comerica had announced an initial contribution of $50,000 on September 1, 2005.

Comerica also has extended the time it will accept hurricane relief donations at its branch offices by an additional month. Through October, Comerica's more than 360 branch offices nationwide will accept donations in the form of checks made payable to the American Red Cross.
"This hurricane season has been particularly devastating," said John D. Lewis, vice chairman. "The $100,000 cumulative contribution from our charitable foundation and extended use of our branch offices as American Red Cross donation centers underscore our deeply felt need to help Gulf Coast hurricane victims."
