DETROIT, June 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Comerica Incorporated (NYSE: CMA) today announced it has been named one of the "40 Best Companies for Diversity" by Black Enterprise magazine. In selecting the 40 companies listed, the editors of Black Enterprise evaluated diversity programs, consulted with diversity experts and corporate diversity officers, and conducted an extensive survey of the nation's top 1,000 publicly traded companies and 50 leading global companies with significant U.S. operations.

To be included on the list, Comerica had to outperform other corporations in its peer group in four key categories: corporate procurement, corporate boards, senior management, and the total workforce.

"We are extremely pleased to receive important recognition from a highly regarded publication such as Black Enterprise," said Linda Forte, senior vice president of Business Affairs for Comerica. "Diversity is one of the key drivers of our success, and we actively seek to be the partner of choice for all of the constituencies in our markets."

Earlier this year, Comerica was named to DiversityInc magazine's list of the "Top 50 Companies for Diversity." Ranked 12th overall, Comerica also was named to DiversityInc's "Top 10 Companies for Executive Women" and "Top 10 Companies for Supplier Diversity" lists.
