Consumer Protection Resource Center Now on Comerica.com
Internet Fraud Protection Brochures Also Introduced

DETROIT/January 31, 2007 – Comerica Bank has added a Consumer Protection Resource Center to its website, http://www.comerica.com.

The Resource Center is designed to educate consumers on some of the ways they could become victims of fraud. Safety tips for ATM and debit cards, credit cards, online banking, laptops, computer/Internet use and e-mail are included in the resource center. The Resource Center also contains information on common fraud scams, privacy, frequently asked questions and contacts for reporting suspicious activities.

Comerica has also developed an Internet Fraud Protection brochure containing tips on how to prevent Internet fraud and definition of common types of Internet fraud, such as phishing, pharming and spoofing.

The Resource Center can be accessed by going to www.comerica.com and clicking on Consumer Protection Center. The Resource Center can also be reached through the Help Center on Comerica’s website. The Internet Fraud Protection brochure and Consumer Protection Alert brochures will be available next week in all Comerica banking centers. Like the Internet Fraud brochure, the Consumer Protection Alert brochure educates consumers on the types of scams occurring today and provides a list of resources to contact if they have been victimized.
