Comerica Bank was one of only 21 banks among 600 included in the biennial Greenwich study to receive the top small-business award, a Greenwich Excellence Award, and one of only 15 banks that were repeat winners.
The bank also received three other awards announced today by the Greenwich, Conn. firm: national awards for Comerica's banking center services, cash management services and a regional award for overall customer satisfaction in the West, one the bank's fastest growing regions.
"It is gratifying to receive this award at a time when we are growing rapidly, providing more services to more small business owners, especially in our growth markets in Texas, Arizona and California," said Peggy Bradshaw, national director of small business banking for Comerica. "This recognition serves as an inspiration to provide even better service to every customer, new and long-term."
"At Comerica, we define success by the quality of our relationships with customers," said Connie Beck, executive vice president for The Retail Bank, which includes banking centers and small business banking. "It is heartening to know that as our customer relationships grow in numbers, they also are growing in quality."
The Greenwich awards are based on the 2007 results of the firm's Business Banking program, a survey conducted every two years that includes interviews with over 25,000 businesses with annual sales of $1 million to $10 million in 70 major U.S. markets.
