Bank of the Hills Strengthens Commitment to Kerrville by Opening Banking Center in Historic Schreiner Building
New Downtown Banking Center to be its 6th in Hill Country

Kerrville, TX/June 19, 2012 – Bank of the Hills, a division of Comerica Bank, today announced that the doors will open to its 6th Hill Country banking center on Tuesday, June 26, in the historic Schreiner Building (208 Earl Garrett Street) in downtown Kerrville. The manager of Bank of the Hills’ newest location will be Rie Foss, a 5-year veteran of the bank. Bank of the Hills also announced that an official grand opening reception, which will be open to the public, will take place on Thursday, July 19 in the Events Center of the Schreiner Building from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The announcements were made by Harold Wilson of Bank of the Hills.

“At a time when we’ve seen others retract from this market, our commitment to the Hill Country remains strong as evidenced by the expansion of our footprint to better serve our clients,”
said Wilson. “The new downtown site in the Schreiner Building is a fitting location to operate, and our Bank of the Hills colleagues are honored to continue Charles Schreiner’s legacy of supporting growth in Kerrville and financing the local business community.”

The Schreiner Building’s history dates back to 1869, when Captain Charles Schreiner, a successful rancher, opened a bank and commercial storefront to service the local residents’ banking and purchasing needs. Through a recent renovation made possible by the Cailloux Foundation, the building was restored to its early 20th century design with the original exterior exposed, and retail spaces were designated throughout the building. Bank of the Hills is leasing one such space, and will operate the roughly 1,100 square-foot full-service banking center with two teller lines, a personal banker and a manager.
