DALLAS/Aug. 15, 2012 – Albert (Al) P. Taylor has been named Senior Vice President, National Bank Card Services for Comerica Bank. The announcement was made by Bridgit Chayt, executive vice president and national director of Treasury Management Services, for Comerica Bank.
National Bank Card Services, a newly formed group at Comerica, is comprised of Government Card, Merchant Services and Commercial Card Sales. In his new role, Taylor will be responsible for expanding the suite of products and sales of government and commercial cards and merchant services.
“Al’s 25 years of experience at Comerica and his diverse background in administration and sales leadership – particularly his most recent position in Specialized Industries where he managed both the Municipalities Group and the Government Card Group – made him the perfect choice to lead this new holistic strategy for cards and payments,” explained Chayt. National Bank Card Services’ products are among the suite of leading-edge financial products offered by Comerica’s Treasury Management Division to help businesses reduce costs and reach their financial goals.
During his 25-year career at Comerica, Taylor has held various positions of increasing authority in Specialized Industries, Municipalities, Executive Administration and Branch Administration.
Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Finance from Walsh College. He is also a graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Executive Management Program. He currently serves as Vice President of the Macomb Township Community Foundation and formerly served on the board of directors for Starfish Family Services, a health and human services agency in Inkster Michigan where he chaired the Human Resources Committee, and also served on the Executive Committee.
