Comerica Bank Announces Top 10 Finalists for Star Spangled Choir National Anthem singing contest

DETROIT/Sept. 8, 2015 – Comerica Bank today announced the top 10 finalists for its Star Spangled Choir National Anthem Singing Contest and is now turning to the public to decide the winner by voting for their favorite on the Comerica Cares Facebook page.  

The Top 10 choirs vying for public vote are:

  • Bella Voce, Woodhaven High School Choir
  • Cantata Academy Chorale
  • Community Chorus of Detroit
  • Dakota High School Mixed Varsity Choir
  • Great Lakes Chorus
  • Lake Orion High School Chorale
  • Laker Express, West Bloomfield High School Choir
  • Rackham Choir
  • Rochester College A Cappella Chorus
  • Rochester High School Chamber Choir

All top 10 videos are now available on Comerica Cares Facebook page and open for public voting until Sept. 20. The winner will be announced Monday, Sept. 21.

The winner will receive a $5,000 grant to support the choir’s efforts, have the opportunity to sing the National Anthem on Sept. 26, 2015, before the Detroit Tigers game at Comerica Park and will receive 45 tickets to the game.
