DALLAS/November 10, 2015 – Comerica Bank and the Dallas Entrepreneur Center (DEC) today announced the four finalists and panel of judges to appear at the grand finale event of the $50,000 North Texas Business Pitch Contest sponsored by Comerica Bank. The live “final four” pitch event will take place from 5:00pm to 7:30pm on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at the DEC (311 N. Market Street in the West End), and will conclude with one entrepreneur receiving a $50,000 unrestricted grant from Comerica Bank.
The four finalist contestants, who were selected by a combination of nearly 17,000 social media votes following a second round of judging from a panel consisting of DEC and Comerica executives, as well as executives from The People Fund, are:
Cause Studio – (Dallas, TX) Cause Studio aims to reduce the number of failing startup nonprofit organizations by providing resources, training and tools that are designed to scale, encourage collaboration and sustain impactful programs and services.
Eosera Inc. – (Fort Worth, TX) Accumulation of cerumen (earwax), caused by failure of the body’s self-cleaning mechanism, is one of the most common reasons that patients seek medical care for ear-related problems. Eosera is working on composition(s) that will successfully develop an effective treatment to this underserved medical condition and minimize the treatment burden to both doctors and patients. Eosera has completed in-vitro testing and is currently work with the FDA in preparation for in human clinical trials.
RentEval – (Dallas, TX) RentEval is a patent pending technology that simplifies the inspection process for property management companies. Its app replaces the tedious manual process of using pen/paper to document damages. Never organize or upload photos and data again. Simply store all your data on the cloud using the app.
Sew Chill – (Dallas, TX; winner of the social media popular vote) Practical, yet "boutique" children's clothing. Sew Chill focuses on comfort with style. #sewchillcuties are stylish, hip but most importantly comfortable.
