Comerica Bank to Install ATM in Detroit PAL Headquarters
Official bank sponsorship continues Comerica’s long-standing support of Detroit PAL

Comerica Bank and Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL) today announced Comerica Bank will be the official bank sponsor of Detroit PAL’s new headquarters and athletic facilities at The Corner Ballpark presented by Adient. The bank’s sponsorship will include the installation of a Comerica ATM in the building’s front plaza and continuing support of PAL programming.

Comerica’s sponsorship will enable guests of the new Corner Ballpark and Corktown residents and visitors the convenience of banking at a Comerica ATM beginning this summer. The terms of the sponsorship were not disclosed.

“Detroit PAL has been building bonds between our city’s youth and Detroit Police Officers for almost 50 years,” said Michael T. Ritchie, president, Comerica Bank-Michigan. “We’re proud to support their efforts to give today’s youth a new ‘field of dreams,’ while continuing to support Detroit’s ongoing revitalization.”

“When Detroit PAL sat down to brainstorm a potential bank sponsor, only one name made sense,” said Tim Richey, chief executive officer, Detroit PAL. “Comerica Bank has always been a committed member of the communities they service, and we wanted to bring that value to our new stadium and Corktown neighborhood.”

Comerica has been supporting Detroit PAL since 1989. Comerica provided a $20,000 grant to Detroit PAL in 2016 to fund the renovation of the Calcara Park baseball diamond, which debuted as a Detroit PAL field last year.
