DALLAS, Sept. 2, 2020 – Comerica Bank has named David C. Betancourt Southern California External Affairs Market Manager.
Betancourt will serve to strengthen Comerica’s initiative of assisting local communities and fostering relationships in Southern California with community partners, nonprofits and businesses. He will oversee implementation of community and economic development programs and services in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego and Ventura.
Betancourt joins Comerica with a wealth of experience impacting the Southern California community, previously serving as the Senior Program Coordinator with the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. There he developed and led small business programming, was pivotal in the launch of the OneLa Regional Collaborative supplier diversity initiative and created a regional footprint for the chamber in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside and San Bernardino.

An active member in the community, Betancourt currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Hispanic Chambers of Commerce Foundation, the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce (CHCC) Foundation and Chair for the organization’s Creating A Path to Success (CAPS) program.
Betancourt, a native of Southern California growing up in West Covina, attended the University of La Verne where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Public Management and an MBA in Marketing.
