
DALLAS, June 9, 2025 – Points of Light has named Comerica Bank a 2025 honoree of The Civic 50, a recognition of the top community-minded companies in the United States according to its annual survey. This marks the 10th consecutive year and 11th time overall that Comerica has received the national recognition in the program’s 13-year history.
The Civic 50 has served as the national standard for corporate citizenship. It is a comprehensive survey for companies with annual revenues of at least $1 billion evaluates the scale, sophistication and impact of their employee volunteering, community engagement and corporate philanthropy work.

Comerica’s 2024 efforts to empower local communities included:
- More than 84,000 hours of volunteer time equating to more than $2.8 million donated to nonprofits by colleagues, according to the Internal Revenue Service.
- $1.6 billion portfolio of public welfare investments, including approximately $121 million in 2024 commitments.
- More than $9 million in financial investments from Comerica Bank and the Comerica Charitable Foundation made to empower nonprofits and other organizations serving our communities.
- $318 million in lending and investment to support affordable housing.
- Approximately 102,000 individuals from low- to moderate-income communities reached through the Comerica $ense financial education programs with community nonprofit partners supporting adult, seniors, youth (including pre-K to 5th grade) and young adults.

The Civic 50 survey is administered by True Impact, and the results are analyzed by VeraWorks. The survey instrument consists of quantitative and multiple-choice questions that inform the scoring process. The Civic 50 is the only survey and ranking system that exclusively measures corporate community engagement.
